Skin Position Setup / OSD Positioner ... unexpected behavior

Hi all,
as many other users I'm challenged to make the PurE2 UI fitting my TV screen.
I use a Dreambox DM900 with latest updates and the nice Estuary skin.

I would expect that the settings inside the OSD Positioner menu would exactly do that job.
But instead, they change size and position of the television image but have no
effect at all on the Skin and its menus.

The box is connected to an old Samsung TV from 2005. I can assure you that
I tried all combinations of video settings available on TV and the box.

I used to have a VU+ connected to the same TV and it offered a similar option via
an plugin which did the job as expected.

Any magic button to switch between video and skin size in that menu?
What are the meanings of the appearing color frames in that menu?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,

MrCloud

MENU > Setup > System > Video settings > disable automatic resolution and choose... well, which resolution is your "old Samsung"? 1080p? Because Estuary is full HD! If it's less - I don't know...

Display 4:3 and 16:9 contents as - I choose, depending on the box - Stretch linear (or non-linear) => green button to save.

MENU > Setup > System > User interface > Position setup > Move left/right until you see red lines, then stop and save.

If this doesn't work - sorry but it's probably the drivers which do not allow for it....

Good luck!
