Map left/right buttons to volumeDown/VolumeUp not working

Hi,

I'm trying to to map left/right buttons to volumeDown/VolumeUp. I duplicated the keymap_neutrino.xml and rename the new file to keymap_neutrinoch.xml, then I edited the created file like this :

<map context="InfobarChannelSelection">
....
<key id="KEY_LEFT" mapto="volumeDown" flags="mr" />
<key id="KEY_RIGHT" mapto="volumeUp" flags="mr" />
....
</map>

I moved the file to appropriate directory and activated that config using the "Keymap Selector" menu.

But this didn't work. Do you have any Idea how to make it work?

Thanks in advance for your replies

Please try to play with keymap.xml, i.e. copy it to keymap_test.xml, as I think neutrino is not up to date.
Or, use Extra Button Setup from Keyboard/RC Menu.

Thank you for your reply.
I did as you said, but still I can't get left/right mapped to volumeDown/volumeUp. I tried to use the "advanced button setup" in conjunction with the new config but in vain.
I did some search and I think that the file InfoBarGenerics.pyo must be modified to include volume option into InfobarChannelSelection . I decompiled the pyo file, made some changes found by googling and recompile it, but I get a crash screen. I'm a newbie.
What I'm trying to achive is to have the same Neutrino keymap as in OpenPLi :

OK : Channel list
UP : Zap Up
Down : Zap Down
Left : Volume Down
Right : Volume Up
Exit : toggleShow infobar
EPG : Single Graphic EPG

Thank you

Uhh, sadly, yes, what are you trying to do is a bit unorthodox:) But ok, I do get Neutrino habits die hard, but we can't screw what works ok for us. You might want to play with keytranslation.xml which will bypass the seetings that bother you, but you'll have to set your RC.
