Important: CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD AFTER INSTALLATION, USING PuTTy (in Telnet protocol, port will be 23):

As above, after installation of PurE2 image your login details are:

username = root (hit Enter button on your keyboard)

password = pure2 (> Enter, as above).

To change the password type: passwd (be careful!)

Now, enter the new password (5 - 8 characters long) of your choice and hit Enter button on your keyboard.

Repeat the password > hit Enter.

You will not see anything happen on the screen, when you are doing this, so BE CAREFUL!!! :3_small30:

==========================RCU CAN DO, TOO!!!=========================

Alternatively, by simply using your Remote Control Unit, from the comfort of your armchair/sofa:

in PurE2 > MENU > Setup > System > Network > Password setup > input new password...

Many thanks for this.
thx2§

Running Pure2 Version 6.5 (kernel 4,10,12)

I cannot get in via FTP or Putty, so I have tried for ages to do via the TV.
Only problem is, it doesnt show a proper screen - just shows a list of remote control 1 to 0 buttons to press. I have done this loads of time and eventually I found the TEXT button, which opened a screen to enter and much easier to fill in. Then did not know how to get out after pressing Green to save. It was Green again to save the input then exit out. Before I was just exiting out!

I really think this should be updated!!

Can you be precise, from STB, settings, procedure and onwards....

ALL the relevant details, please... :4_small16:
